Racing is in the Kodiaq RS’s blood. For proof, look no further than the new record at the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife, where a seven-seater version of the car was driven by racing driver Sabine Schmitz.

THE FASTEST SEVEN-SEATER SUV

The Kodiaq RS has conquered the famous Nordschleife, the Nürburgring’s northern loop, and driven away with the prized track record for a seven-seater SUV. Professional racer Sabine Schmitz was at the wheel and the seven-seater all-wheel drive SUV had no special engineering ahead of its record attempt. The timer stopped at 9:29:84 minutes.

Want to buy a new caravan, but reversing it is the stuff of nightmares? The new optional Trailer Assist takes control when you reverse slowly with a caravan. All you have to do is decide where to reverse to, when to start and when to stop. A cinch.

REAR TRAFFIC ALERT

When reversing out of parking bays, Rear Traffic Alert recognises vehicles approaching from the sides. An acoustic signal warns of an impending collision. The “critical side” is shown first in yellow and then in red on the infotainment display. The brakes are applied automatically if necessary.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead at a selected speed, controlling the engine and actuating the brakes to automatically accelerate or decelerate as needed. The system combines the cruise control system with a radar-based distance controller.

LANE ASSIST

The feature can tell when a driver strays from a lane unintentionally. The system is active at speeds above 65 km/h, on condition that there are recognisable lane markings on the road and the indicator has not been turned on prior to crossing a marking.

FRONT ASSIST

The Front Assist is a collision-alert safety system. Faced with an unavoidable collision, it applies the brakes to minimise the consequences. Front Assist works with a radar sensor integrated into the radiator grille, constantly monitoring the distance from the traffic ahead.

BLIND SPOT DETECT

Blind Spot Detect helps the driver to change lanes safely by registering any vehicles in the blind spot. Two radar sensors located in the lower part of the rear bumper monitor the area beside and up to 20 metres behind the ŠKODA Kodiaq.
