ŠKODA’s first high-performance SUV brings its dynamic ambitions to the fore with plenty of black accents – its striking radiator grille, its roof rails, window frames and wing mirrors all come in high-gloss black.
The rear is shaped by two visible tailpipes below the bumper and a reflector that extends across the entire width of the car – the distinguishing feature of all ŠKODA RS models.
Emotiveness, dynamism and automotive passion – ŠKODA combines all of these qualities with the ‘RS’ initials.
The initials RS have adorned ŠKODA’s sportiest production models since 2000. The ŠKODA KODIAQ RS is the brand’s first SUV to join this elite circle. The Czech car manufacturer thereby carries the brand’s now 117-year motorsport and rally history into a new vehicle segment and marks this move with a new, modern RS logo featuring red touches. The dynamic SUV bears several of the logos, including one on its radiator grille. Here, ‘v’ stands for victory; the red symbolises the sportiness and power of the RS family. The logo’s new modern look also accentuates the dynamic appearance of the KODIAQ RS.
The initials RS stand for Rally Sport and were first used in 1974 on the two rally prototypes, the ŠKODA 180 RS and 200 RS. In 1975, ŠKODA developed these into the 130 RS; in 1977, the sports coupé also known as the ‘Porsche of the East’ achieved two victories in its class at the legendary Rallye Monte Carlo and also won the Acropolis Rally. In 2000, ŠKODA introduced its first RS production model, the OCTAVIA RS.

Standard equipment in the ŠKODA KODIAQ RS includes the individually adjustable Virtual Cockpit in a carbon optic. ‘Sport’ is a fifth display layout which features the rev counter and speedo in the centre.
The KODIAQ RS is the first-ever ŠKODA model to offer Dynamic Sound Boost. This sophisticated system uses the data from the car electronic board systems and varies and intensifies the sound of the engine depending on the selected driving mode. This results in a captivating and emotive acoustic experience, which makes the ŠKODA KODIAQ RS even more enjoyable to drive.
The sports seats with integrated headrests, which come as standard in the ŠKODA KODIAQ RS, feature seat cushions and backrests wrapped in Alcantara – a material frequently used in motorsport. The contrasting stitching and red detailing with perforated Alcantara create visual highlights. The seats’ side bolsters are covered in carbon leather and, just like the central armrest and the armrests in the doors, bear red stitching.
The multifunction sports steering wheel features the RS logo and the contrasting red stitching. The door trims use black Alcantara; but in this case, the distinctive diamond cross pattern is rendered in black stitching. A carbon-look instrument panel, black roof liner and stainless steel pedal covers round off the sporting appearance of the ŠKODA KODIAQ RS. Of course, this high-performance SUV retains all the familiar qualities of the KODIAQ model series: plenty of space for five or seven people, a large luggage compartment and many of the brand’s typical Simply Clever ideas.

The ŠKODA KODIAQ RS is the first car in ŠKODA history to ride on 20-inch wheels as standard. The red brake callipers sitting on the 17-inch brake discs are clearly visible thanks to the Xtreme alloy wheels. With this combination of sportiness and power, the all-wheel-drive SUV clearly sets itself apart as the most remarkable model in the ŠKODA model range.

All-wheel drive and the most powerful production diesel engine in ŠKODA history
Its powerful engine brings the ŠKODA KODIAQ RS’s sporty ambitions to the fore. The four-cylinder TDI enginefound in the successful all-wheel-drive SUV produces 176 kW (240 PS) from its 2.0-litre capacity thanks to biturbo charging, and delivers maximum torque of 500 Nm. This makes this engine the most powerful production diesel engine in the history of the brand from Mladá Boleslav, spanning more than 120 years.
The new engine allows for dynamic power delivery and excellent responsive qualities, even at low engine speed. Exhaust gases are purified by an SCR catalytic converter. In the KODIAQ model range, the 2.0-litre BiTDI diesel engine is exclusively reserved for the RS, and thanks to Dynamic Sound Boost, the high-torque diesel engine’s power is immediately apparent. With adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) including Driving Mode Select and progressive steering, the all-wheel-drive vehicle was perfectly equipped for its record-breaking lap at the Nürburgring...
Even before its market launch, the Czech car manufacturer’s first high performance SUV, the ŠKODA KODIAQ RS, proves that it can also hold its own on the most challenging race track in the world. Racing driver Sabine Schmitz set the lap record for a seven-seater SUV at the Nürburgring’s legendary Nordschleife in the ŠKODA KODIAQ RS. The RS thereby impressively highlights its performance qualities and extends the range of ŠKODA RS (Rally Sport) models specially designed for sportiness.
