Park Distance Control with Manoeuvre Assist
The Park Distance Control warns of the potential risk of colliding with obstacles during parking by drawing data from the sensors, the driving parameters, and the steering wheel angle. To avoid those parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the distance alerts, the Elroq incorporates Manoeuvre Assist, a feature that stops the car to avoid collision.

Providing you with comfort and orientation during a parking procedure, the rear-view camera uses a camera located on the tailgate handle. Working with the infotainment screen, the system shows the space behind the car and indicates dynamic guide lines, based on the vehicle width.

Front Assist with Collision Avoidance Assist
The Front Assist is a collision-alert safety system. Faced with an unavoidable collision, it applies the brakes to minimise the consequences. It also performs an emergency stop if a pedestrian or cyclist attempts to cross the path of the car. The system also registers pedestrians and cyclists travelling in the same direction as the car and, in relation to these road users, uses the same warning and braking process as that applied to vehicles ahead.
In a critical situation, where Front Assist intervenes by braking and the driver indicates they are taking evasive action by the way they move the steering wheel, Collision Avoidance Assist makes targeted interventions in the steering to help drive around the obstacle.

Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead at a selected speed, controlling the engine and actuating the brakes to automatically accelerate or decelerate as needed. The mechanism combines the cruise control system with radar-based distance controller.

Lane Assist
This system works in conjunction with a camera to recognise lane markings on the road, including yellow lines during roadworks, traffic cones, and other roadside or lane borders.
The enhanced “Adaptive” variant (only available as part of Travel Assist in the Elroq Sportline) means that the system intervenes in an attempt to keep the vehicle in the selected track within the traffic lane, and the car does not “weave”.

Turn Assist
Turn Assist, supplied as part of Front Assist, is designed to monitor an oncoming vehicle when you are turning right, for example when you are at a junction. If there is an immediate danger, it brings the vehicle to a complete standstill and triggers the warning signal.

Side Assist
Thanks to radar sensors at the rear of the car, the Side Assist detects vehicles approaching from behind or that are in the car’s blind spot. The driver is informed of this using an LED signal on the inside of the wing mirror housings. Side Assist can detect vehicles up to 70 m away and thus also effectively warns the driver of hazardous situations on motorways and dual carriageways.

Exit Warning
This safety feature is another of Side Assist’s complementary functions. Exit Warning visually and acoustically warns the driver and other passengers, when, for example, they are exiting parallel parked car, if opening the door could result in a collision with another vehicle, a cyclist, an electric scooter or a jogger. Exit Warning makes use of Side Assist’s rear radars and monitors area behind and along the sides of the car up to a distance of 40 m.

The headlights of Škoda Elroq use LEDs for all of their functions. LED technologies’ many upsides include their longer life and the fact that they are less of a drain on power. On top of that, they feature a side light and the cutting-edge Matrix function. One great feature is the all-weather lighting function, which replaces conventional fog lights. This lighting mode is designed to improve the illumination of the road surface when visibility is poor.

Using a multifunction camera that detects light sources from oncoming vehicles, the Matrix function of the LED Matrix beam headlights masks out the light distribution around other vehicles or reflective traffic signs in real time with individually switchable LED chips in each headlight. This results in a perfectly illuminated road ahead and greater safety.

A great Simply Clever detail, handy when the first frost descends. Now you don’t have to ransack your car in search of a scraper or resort to your credit card. The ice scraper, now made of recycled plastic, is located on the inside of the tailgate and will be ready and waiting whenever you need it. Tyre tread depth gauges, with lines spaced 2 mm apart, are incorporated in both lower corners of the scraper. This makes it easy to check the condition of a tyre and to find out in good time when it no longer complies with statutory regulations.

Safety features
The Škoda Elroq is all about safety without compromise. Besides the safety systems already described, the following features are available as standard or an option:
› Isofix and Top Tether anchorage points to fasten a child seat to the second-row outboard seats. Isofix is also available for the front-passenger seat.
› Unlike cruise control, which maintains a set speed, the speed limiter allows the driver to travel at any speed up to, but not more than, the predefined value.
› ABS keeps the wheels from locking during emergency braking or when braking on slippery surfaces.
› By increasing the braking pressure, the HBA braking assist helps drivers in situations in which emergency braking is necessary. This can lead to a significant reduction in the braking distance required.
› EBD automatically optimises braking pressure and the overall braking balance and prevents the rear wheels from overbraking.
› The ASR ensures smooth starting and acceleration without the wheels spinning on slippery surfaces.
› EDL helps when accelerating or driving uphill with low traction under one of the driven wheels.
› TSA operates when the vehicle is equipped with an original towing device with its own control unit. The system works on the principle of braking one or more wheels and simultaneously reducing engine torque as necessary. The TSA system intervenes and helps stabilize the car and the trailer.
› XDS+ helps the driver during sharp turns and ensures that the vehicle behaves neutrally during dynamic cornering. The control electronics essentially simulate the presence of a self-locking differential to improve traction and driving dynamics during turns. As a result, the vehicle will take bends much more assuredly and naturally.
› Tyre Pressure Monitoring TPM+ keeps the driver informed of the tyre pressure at all times.
› Flashing brake lights reduce the risk of rear-end impact, especially when approaching the traffic jams on highways or sudden braking in front of the unexpected obstacle.
