Travel Assist integrates several systems and functions, which we present separately on the following pages. When they are interconnected, the car can make driving a lot easier and increase travelling comfort. Once activated, Travel Assist can automatically stop and restart, keep the car in lane, follow other vehicles in a traffic jam, or show the surrounding traffic on a display in front of you.

Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead at a selected speed, controlling the engine and actuating the brakes to automatically accelerate or decelerate as needed. The mechanism combines the cruise control system with radar-based distance controller.

Adaptive Lane Assist
This system works in conjunction with a multifunction camera to recognise lane markings on the road, including yellow lines during roadworks, traffic cones, and other roadside or lane borders. The enhanced “Adaptive” variant means that the system intervenes in an attempt to keep the vehicle in the selected track within the traffic lane, and the car does not “weave”.

Traffic Jam Assist
Traffic Jam Assist makes it easier to drive a car in traffic jams. It draws on the Adaptive Cruise Control and Adaptive Lane Assist to start, brake and turn the car to copy the movement of surrounding vehicles in a traffic jam.

Emergency Assist
Emergency Assist reduces risk of an incident if the driver is not feeling well. If Adaptive Lane Assist detects that the driver does not have hands on the steering wheel even after a warning alert, Emergency Assist is activated, decelerates the car to halt while keeping it in lane and activating the hazard warning lights.

Park Distance Control with Manoeuvre Assist
The Park Distance Control warns of the potential risk of colliding with obstacles during parking by drawing data from the sensors, the driving parameters, and the steering wheel angle. To avoid those parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the distance alerts, the Enyaq Sportline incorporates Manoeuvre Assist, a feature that stops the car to avoid collision.

Providing you with comfort and orientation during a parking procedure, the rear-view camera uses a camera located on the tailgate handle. Working with the infotainment screen, the system shows the space behind the car and indicates dynamic guide lines, based on the vehicle width.

Front Assist with Collision Avoidance Assist
The Front Assist is a collision-alert safety system. Faced with an unavoidable collision, it applies the brakes to minimise the consequences. It also performs an emergency stop if a pedestrian or cyclist attempts to cross the path of the car. The system also registers pedestrians and cyclists travelling in the same direction as the car and, in relation to these road users, uses the same warning and braking process as that applied to vehicles ahead.
In a critical situation, where Front Assist intervenes by braking and the driver indicates they are taking evasive action by the way they move the steering wheel, Collision Avoidance Assist makes targeted interventions in the steering to help drive around the obstacle.

Turn Assist
Turn Assist, supplied as part of Front Assist, is designed to monitor an oncoming vehicle when you are turning right, for example when you are at a junction. If there is an immediate danger, it brings the vehicle to a complete standstill and triggers the warning signal.

Side Assist
Thanks to radar sensors at the rear of the car, the Side Assist detects vehicles approaching from behind or that are in the car’s blind spot. The driver is informed of this using an LED signal on the inside of the wing mirror housings. Side Assist can detect vehicles up to 70 m away and thus also effectively warns the driver of hazardous situations on motorways and dual carriageways.

Exit Warning
This safety feature is another of Side Assist’s complementary functions. Exit Warning visually and acoustically warns the driver and other passengers, when, for example, they are exiting parallel parked car, if opening the door could result in a collision with another vehicle, a cyclist, an electric scooter or a jogger. Exit Warning makes use of Side Assist’s rear radars and monitors area behind and along the sides of the car up to a distance of 40 m.

Crew Protect Assist
The system pre-tensions the front seat belts in the event of imminent collision or in unstable driving situations and engages with the ESC to close the side windows almost fully in order to prevent foreign objects from entering the vehicle. The system works with the front radars.

Multi-Collision Brake
If an Enyaq Sportline is involved in an accident and the airbags are activated, it could remain in motion and cause another accident, which is where the Multi-Collision Brake comes in, bringing the vehicle to a standstill to prevent a pile-up.

The headlights of Škoda Enyaq Sportline use LEDs for all of their functions. LED technologies’ many upsides include their longer life and the fact that they are less of a drain on power. Safety features
The Škoda Enyaq RS is all about safety without compromise. Besides the safety systems already described, the following features are available as standard or an option:
› Isofix and Top Tether anchorage points to fasten a
child seat to the second-row outboard seats. Isofix is also available for the
front-passenger seat.
› Unlike cruise control, which maintains a set speed, the
speed limiter allows the driver to travel at any speed up to, but not
more than, the predefined value.
›ABS keeps the wheels from locking during emergency braking or when
braking on slippery surfaces.
› By increasing the braking pressure, the
HBA braking assist helps drivers in situations in which emergency
braking is necessary. This can lead to a significant reduction in the braking distance
required.
› EBD automatically optimises braking pressure and the
overall braking balance and prevents the rear wheels from overbraking.
› The
ASR ensures smooth starting and acceleration without the wheels
spinning on slippery surfaces.
› EDL helps when accelerating or
driving uphill with low traction under one of the driven wheels.

TSA operates when the vehicle is equipped with an original towing
device with its own control unit. The system works on the principle of braking one or
more wheels and simultaneously reducing engine torque as necessary. The TSA system
intervenes and helps stabilize the car and the trailer.
› XDS+
helps the driver during sharp turns and ensures that the vehicle behaves neutrally
during dynamic cornering. The control electronics essentially simulate the presence of a
self-locking differential to improve traction and driving dynamics during turns. As a
result, the vehicle will take bends much more assuredly and naturally.
› Tyre Pressure Monitoring TPM+ keeps the driver informed of the
tyre pressure at all times.

reduce the risk of rear-end impact, especially when approaching the traffic jams on
