With its optional Bi-LED headlights, the all-new Fabia Monte Carlo has a piercing look that instantly catches the eye. It goes without saying that fog lights are fitted as standard. The car’s sporty character is accentuated by the high-gloss black paintwork on the wing mirrors, the radiator grille trim, and the distinctive front bumper and sills. The resultant impression is rounded off by the 17” Procyon black metallic brushed wheels with aero trims are available exclusively for the Fabia Monte Carlo. These, like the option 18” Libra black brushed wheels, are available as an option.

The birth of the Monte Carlo models
In 1936, Škoda first caused a sensation at the Monte Carlo rally, which had been taking place since 1911. Zdeněk Pohl / Jaroslav Hausman drove the Škoda popular to a second-place finish in the 1,500-cc category and Škoda subsequently launched a sporty road version of this model – thus was born the Monte Carlo model family.

1-2 finish for the Škoda 130 RS1-2 finish for the Škoda 130 RS
Another major achievement was clocked up at the Monte Carlo rally in 1977. At the wheel of a Škoda 130 RS, the Škoda works teams masterminded a 1-2 finish in the category for cars up to 1,300 cc. This feat was duplicated in the WRC2 category precisely 40 years later in 2017, with another 1-2 finish for the Fabia R5, a just as exceptional rally car.

Front assist with predictive pedestrian protection
The front assist is a collision-alert safety system. Faced with an unavoidable collision, it applies the brakes to minimise the consequences. It also performs an emergency stop if a pedestrian or cyclist dangerously attempts to cross the path of the car.

Driver alert (fatigue detection)
Driver alert reduces the risk of a fatigue-induced emergency. By monitoring driver behaviour, the system assesses the degree of driver fatigue and, if necessary, warns of the need for a rest and break in the journey.

Adaptive cruise control
The adaptive cruise control (standard in the Fabia Monte Carlo) maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead at a selected speed, controlling the engine and actuating the brakes to automatically accelerate or decelerate as needed. The system combines a cruise control system with a radar-based distance controller and is active up to 210 km/h.

Rain-light assist
The Fabia is fitted with a rain and light sensor to automatically activate and control the speed of the wipers. The light sensor activates the car’s lights automatically when the intensity of ambient light falls below a specified value (for example when driving through a tunnel or at dusk).

Rear-view camera with washer
Providing you with comfort and orientation during a parking procedure, the Rear-view camera uses a camera located on the fifth door handle. Combined with Škoda infotainments, the system uses their displays to show the space behind the car and to indicate the driving line, based on the vehicle width.

Hill start assist
The hill start assist (HSA) allows for easy hill starts without the risk of unwanted backward roll or the need to use the handbrake. When you release the brake pedal after stopping on a hill, the HSA keeps the pressure in the brake system for 1 or 2 seconds, enough time for you to set off.

Parking the Fabia is easy due to its excellent manoeuvrability. What is more, you can be assisted by parking sensors integrated in the rear and front bumper, which check the car’s distance from any obstacles. Front parking sensors are optional.

Open or close the door, start or stop the engine, all without having to search for your key? That is the comfort provided by the KESSY system. Simply pull the door handle and the vehicle will unlock automatically. Start the car by pushing the button located to the right of the steering column.
